Out of the ashes of the highly praised technical death metal band Gorguts came Negativa. Somewhat of a "supergroup", it featured two Gorguts alumni (Luc Lemay, Steeve Hurdle), Miguel Valade on bass, previously of Ion Dissonance, and Etienne Gallo on drums, ex-Augury.
