I Am Jack | en

I am Jack were four piece alternative/progressive rock band from York, England. They were similar musically to bands such as Sigur Ros and Mogwai.
The band consisted of Ewan Fisher, singer Matt Langham, Jan Minx and Matthew James.

The band split in late 2006, declaring the project had run its course. Ewan has since been producing electronic music under the pseudonyms 8bitbitchslap (now discontinued) and more recently Voltage Black. He also plays and writes with the London based kraut rock influenced Standard Planets and is in the process of putting another new band together in with other musicians. Matt is devoting time to his new musical concern Fields of Ypres, with plans to release a song a month for 2010 with live dates to support the material. .
