J NICS (Born Justin Nicholas) was born and raised in Miami, Florida. J NICS released his debut mixtape "Dirty Sneakers" in 2009. The Miami rapper started to build an increasing following with his mixtape "Southern N*ggas Ain't Slow: The Tribute" which saw him rhyming over classic Southern beats. NICS then released the all-original sequel, "S.N.A.S: The Product" in April 2012, followed by "Darkside", a collaboration mixtape with Atlanta producer DJ Burn One.
He is heavily influenced by fellow Southern rappers Outkast, Goodie Mob, UGK,Cool Breeze, and 8Ball & MJG. As well as southern hip hop artists, J NICS also grew up listening to New York rappers such as The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan, and Nas. J NICS is currently working on another project entitled "24/7" scheduled to drop sometime in 2013.
