Stargunn was a former hard rock band formed by Shooter Jennings (Waylon's son) in Los Angeles in 1997. Jennings performed lead vocals and played piano. The other members included Kevin Sciou (guitar), Carter Falco (guitar), Curtis Roach (bass guitar), and Lex Lipsitz (drums). Shooter Jennings once described Stargunn's sound as "Lynyrd Skynyrd mutating into Guns N' Roses." The band broke up on March 30, 2003. In addition to their independent albums, they performed "I've Always Been Crazy" on the Waylon Jennings tribute album of the same name.

Gunnar Eric Nelson (born September 20, 1967 in Santa Monica, California) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter and international multi-platinum recording artist.
Gunnar is the son of teen idol Ricky Nelson and actress Kristin Harmon. He is the identical twin brother of musician Matthew Nelson and brother of Tracy Nelson and musician Sam Nelson. His paternal grandparents are Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard from the TV series Ozzie and Harriet. His maternal grandparents are football player and sports broadcaster Tom Harmon and the 1940s "B" movie actress Elyse Knox. His maternal uncle is actor Mark Harmon. .
