Bobby Lewis (born 17 February 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana) is an African-American early rock and roll and R&B singer. Raised in an Indianapolis orphanage, he learned to play the piano by age six. Adopted at age twelve, he moved to a home in Detroit, Michigan, growing up with the influences of the pioneer blues musicians until the advent of Rock and Roll. Lewis began to build a musical career in the 1950s and in 1960 appeared at the Apollo Theatre in New York City. Absolom is a project by Christophe Chantzis, the same guy that's also part of the DJ Jan, DJ Glenn, Astroline and Ian Van Dahl projects. Christophe has made remixes for Fiocco, Zohra and X-Session (all Belgian dance groups) but also for foreign groups like Future Breeze, Komakino, Organ and the Swedish Ace of Base. Together with DJ Jimmy Goldschmitz he created a few smash hits in the studio: "Secret", "Where", "The Air" and "Baby Boomers" should definitely be played on a party! DJ Solo is a member of the Los Angeles-based collective of artists known as the Soul Assassins which includes hip-hop legends Cypress Hill along with the DJ Muggs, super producer Alchemist and the world famous tattoo artist Mister Cartoon. Recently, DJ Solo teamed up with producer Roger Jao to create a masterpiece mix made up entirely of the essentials of the hair band era called "Hair Metal Hero," which can be downloaded for free.
