Bonga Kwenda, better known as Bonga, is a singer and songwriter from Angola. Born in 1943 in the province of Bengo, and left Angola at age 23 to become an athlete, becoming the Angolan record holder for the 400 metre dash. He had already begun his singing career at age 15. Bonga abandoned athletics in 1972, concentrating solely on his music. He has released over 30 albums, singing in Portuguese and traditional Angolan languages. His tracks are a mixture of Portuguese-language folk songs, semba, kizomba and latin elements. While Angola was still a Portuguese colony, Bonga was an outspoken supporter...
Bongwater was an art rock band from New York City, formed in 1985 and dissolved in 1992. The group was founded by Ann Magnuson and Kramer (who was also the founder of the now defunct Shimmy Disc record label). Magnuson caught Kramer's eye when he saw her perform in the all girl band Pulsallama. Bongwater also featured Shimmy alumni drummer Dave Licht and guitarists Dave Rick who went on to play with Shimmy Disc's anchor band King Missile for a short time and later helped Ann Magnuson in producing and playing guitar on her first solo album called The Luv...

No actual vocals were used (except three songs with the participation of Stefan from Varathron), but vocal samples stolen from Diamanda Gallas, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Timothy Leary, Willie Dixon, Stellakis Perpiniadis and...
Kobong was a math metal / progressive metal band from Warsaw, Poland. Their style was a blend of broken rhythms, heavy - yet catchy - riffs, amazingly technical drumming, dissonance, hardcore fury and, sometimes, soundscape and ethnic instruments. They released two albums in the 90's. Their first concert was in late 1994. It was something new that time on Polish heavy scene. Broken rhythms, great lyrics screamed in fury by Bogdan Kondracki and freaked drums played by legendary Wojtek Szymański (now drumming in Nyia) was something that made people crazy. Opening album (self-titled) released in 1995, brought lots of psychedelic...
