"Bossa Nova" is a style of Brazilian music popularized by Antônio Carlos Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes and João Gilberto.
Bossa nova (which is Portuguese for "new trend") acquired a large following, initially by young musicians and college students.
Although the bossa nova movement only lasted six years (1958–63), it contributed a number of songs to the standard jazz repertoire.

The Soul Bossa Trio was formed by Gonzales Suzuki in 1993 . This occurred after the Tokyo Panorama Mambo Boys broke up. The Soul Bossa Trio is composed of piano, bass, and drums and features many other instruments as it chooses. The band swings hard in a Brazilian and Afro-Cuban style. Unfortunately, very little is known or can be found on the internet about this band. Hopefully more info will be added at a later date. .
Bossasonic is the new band of the First Floor Records. Formed by Marco De Falco, musician and producer and Daniela Del Core, lead vocal, in this project they play also Flavio Dapiran on flugel horn and trumpet , Vito Porricelli on percussions and programming and Francesco Piccinno on piano rodhes.
