The White Buffalo is said to be a throwback to the time of hard touring, hard drinking artists who really lived what they sang about. The Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra is a symphony orchestra in Bratislava, Slovakia. Founded in 1949, the orchestra has resided since the 1950s in the Baroque era Reduta Bratislava concert hall constructed in 1773. Besides giving seasonal concerts, it also plays regularly at music festivals throughout Europe, and has made international tours to Cyprus, Turkey, Japan, and the United States. The New York Philharmonic is the oldest active symphony orchestra in the United States. Based in New York City, the New York Philharmonic gives most of its concerts at Avery Fisher Hall. The orchestra was founded by Ureli Corelli Hill in 1842 as the Philharmonic Symphony Society of New York and played its first concert on December 7 of that year, when Beethoven's Fifth Symphony was performed.
