Au Bonheur des Dames is a group of french rock from the 1970s led by Ramon Pipin. His name is likely inspired from the title of the classic novel Au Bonheur des Dames of Emile Zola. The band is very notable for their song Oh les filles that reached the Top 10 in France, which appears on their debut album, Twist, released in 1974. .
Madame Edwarda was a post-punk / goth band from Japan, formed in 1980 and fronted by vocalist Zin-François Angélique. Highly influenced by the british early goth scene. They disbanded in 1985 but reformed in the recent years mostly to perform as resident act of Club Walpurgis, a goth club located in Tokyo, founded and held by Zin himself since mid 80's, it could be regarded as the Japanese Batcave. I'm an improviser. I started to perform my solo with the name of Madame P. In the past I was a co-founder and member of the seminal all-female band Allun. I was founder of Rosas Y Tulipanes duo. In 2004 I started collaborating with Luca Sigurta' in the highly experimental project Macaya, and with Tommaso Rolando and Marco Ravera - guitarist and doublebass player of the acclaimed jazz/fusion band Calomito - in the impro/jazzy ensemble called Toba. My live sets are focused on the wide range of my vocal techniques: I experiment with my voice sampling it in real time...
