Chichi Peralta, born July 9, 1966 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic is a percussionist and composer who has been recognized for creating a fusion of jazz, Afro-American, Afro-Cuban, and Latin rhythms.
In 1997, Peralta recorded his first album, Pa' Otro La'o, released in Latin America and the U.S., which won him the Lo Nuestro Award. In the year 2000, Chichi Peralta teamed up with César Olarte and René Geraldino, issuing the CD, De Vuelta Al Barrio, which was followed by a worldwide tour. .
Austin Peralta was an American jazz pianist. He was born October 25th, 1990, in Santa Monica, California and died on November 21st 2012. His father is famous Z-Boy skater and documentary filmmaker Stacy Peralta.
Austin was awarded the Shelly Manne New Talent Award by the Los Angeles Jazz Society and Flip Manne in 2003 at age 11.
