Chichi Peralta, born July 9, 1966 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic is a percussionist and composer who has been recognized for creating a fusion of jazz, Afro-American, Afro-Cuban, and Latin rhythms. In 1997, Peralta recorded his first album, Pa' Otro La'o, released in Latin America and the U.S., which won him the Lo Nuestro Award. In the year 2000, Chichi Peralta teamed up with César Olarte and René Geraldino, issuing the CD, De Vuelta Al Barrio, which was followed by a worldwide tour. .
