Haiku Salut (Haikoo Saloo) are a Derbyshire-based instrumental trio that use accordions, ukeleles, glockenspiels, pianos, loopery and laptopery to create a soundscape that has been likened to early múm, Detektivbyrån and the soundtrack to Amélie. The band’s debut EP “How We Got Along After The Yarn Bomb” was released on Team Strike Force! in August 2011. Their debut album “Tricolore” (tree-coe-lor) was released on March 11th by London based label How Does it Feel to be Loved preceded by a free download single “Los Elefantes” on 7th January. Filozofią projektu Haiku Fristajl jest przenikanie się dwóch kultur - japońskiej i polskiej. Polskie Haiku, śpiewane przez zespół po japońsku, będzie zrozumiałe dla Japończykow. Natomiast japoński tekst będzie atrakcyjny dla polskiego odbiorcy, między innymi dlatego, że w tym samym utworze usłyszymy jego polski odpowiednik. Stąd pomysł, aby twórczość Haiku Fristajl propagować jednocześnie w tych dwóch krajach. Cała identyfikacja graficzno-wizualna zespołu opiera się również na przenikaniu barw narodowych Polski i Japonii.
