Illegal Motives | en

1. Illegal was a young underground hip-hop duo that exploaded onto the scene in the early 90s with firey lyrics. Sadly, Malik and Jamal only even released one album - The Untold Truth, which peaked at #119 on the Billboard 200 and #19 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The duo virtually dissappeared from the public eye until 1995 when they teamed with Too Short on the song, "Thangs Change", after which the group disbanded. Jamal Phillips would later release his debut solo album, "Last Chance, No Breaks in 1995 for Rowdy Records. Malik released one single for Rowdy Records entitled...
Členy skupiny byli: Marcel "Mersí" Marek (zpěv, činel), Zdeněk Podskalský (baskytara), Petr Hrach (kytara), Michal Světlík (buben), Honza Brabenec (valcha), Marek Jedlička (banjo), Karel Pičman (trumpeta) a Bohouš Josef (valcha). Z počátku čistě recesistické uskupení bylo ale po roce 2000 natolik komercializováno, že se...

The album Albert came out in 1999, and was soon set on a tour trough the US. In 2000 the album Whats Your Good Luck was supposed to be released in the US, but it was...

About the band “Tough urban blues with lyrics to match delivered in a style that’s as sharp as James Brown’s footwork and as solid as Alcatraz… reminiscent of those Stax-era Albert King and Little Milton songs with Booker T on keyboards.” John Clarke, The Independent “It’s time for the blues boys and girls to sit up and take notice. The men are...
