In 1996 Jon Nödtveidt from Dissection started writing some electronic music together with his friend Damien (Midvinter, Apollgon) who he was living with at the moment. The result of this was De Infernali. It was never meant to be a real band or even a project but more or less only a way to get some publishing money from Dissection's label Nuclear Blast.
