Guitares Cinématiques formed in 2007 is a solo band of the guitarist and composer, Nicolas, a disciple of guitarist Ralph Towner (Oregon). Guitares Cinématiques combines guitar, voice, cello, flugelhorn, and sound effects to create theatrical visual music. Penguins on Mars (released in 2009) is the debut CD of Guitares Cinématiques. Vienna, Austria (2008 - present) Cinématique is a band from Vienna, Austria. It was founded by Alex Mallory, Chris Augusti and Nico Sieder in 2008. The band started without a proper direction, experimenting with Indie rock, but soon discovered their love for uncommon song structures and an atmospheric, cinematic kind of sound.
