Kawabata is chiefly famous for his leadership of Acid Mothers Temple and its variants; however, he has also played in many other bands since the start of his career in the late 1970s (Baroque Bordello, Mothers of Invasion, Floating Flower, etc), and has an extensive solo discography. 諸井 誠 (b Tokyo, 17 Dec 1930) is a japanese composer. A pupil of Ikenouchi, he worked at the electronic music studio in Cologne (1955-6) and returned to take a leading part in the Japanese avant garde, as composer and as teacher (from 1968 at the Osaka Geijutsu Daigaku). Many of his works, in most genres, use Japanese instruments (e.g. Five Pieces for shakuhachi, 1964). His father Saburō Moroi (1903-77) was the principal representative in Japan of the German tradition, his works including five symphonies, concertos and chamber music. .
