N.Phect Phace | en

There are at least two artists with the name Phace: (1) Phace is the alias used by Florian Harres, an electronic music producer (electro, bass, drum & bass, dubstep, glitch etc.) and label owner from Hamburg, Germany. His sound can be described as atmospheric and powerful, imbued with deep cinematic flourishes, explosive energy, and human analog touch. He is known for his rhythmical experimentation, accompanied with deep twisted bass sounds, high contrasting ambience, and smooth flowing pad synthesisers. He has released music on Vision, Shogun Audio, Invisible, Virus Recordings, Lifted Music, Subtitles Music, Renegade Hardware, Neosignal, mau5trap and OWSLA (both...
Side project of Christopher Bleckmann and Hannes Wenner (Misc., Clubsessel, Van Delta) which focuses on very tech-oriented drum 'n bass : though in Cinemascope the sonic landscapes are more reminiscent of Bukem, there and in the duo's second album, Random Factor, the tracks feel like Force Tracks' microhouse with fractured rhythms that sound like drum 'n bass. After those two albums, the pair focused on their Misc project. .
Interphace is just one person: Kristofer Högardh. He was born in Borås, Sweden on January 11 1979. Music has always been his main interest; at the age of ten he started taking piano-lessons and two years later he started playing the drums. He studied music at a local high school and there he realized that music was more than just a hobby. In 1999, he moved up country and attended classes in computer-aided music production, where he learned to produce music by using synthesizers connected to computers. He focused on making progressive/melodic trance. His ability to combine strong harmonies with...
Stonephace is veteran jazz dissident Larry Stabbins’s collaboration with enigmatic sonic alchemist Krzysztof Oktalski – a mind-bending mix of hip hop and externalist semantics. Featuring Portishead’s Adrian Utley on guitar and Jim Barr on bass, plus a guest appearance from virtuoso trumpeter Guy Barker as you’ve never heard him before, Stonephace creates a unique universe where electronics, free jazz and Afro-tinged beats collide. Imagine a mix of Sun Ra, Fela Kuti, Pharaoh Sanders and early Soft Machine produced by Jay Dee and you might be getting close. Larry Stabbins is a contemporary of jazz pianist Keith Tippett and played in...
German drum&bass dj/producer N.phect started his electronic music career in Cologne back in 2002. After signing various tunes to german labels like protogen & basswerk, N.Phect & Dizplay were established into the international spotlight, as the releases had been highly recommended by the British "Knowledge Magazine". By playing loads of dj sets on a range of prime events, they took the national German scene by storm. N.phect co-worked with Phace for the organic "Cavity" on Syndrome Audio as well as the tremoring "Confront" on Full Force. The direct response was a North American tour in spring 2006. In summer 2006,...
