Hidalgo are a German Band, making music somewhere between PJ Harvey, Sonic Youth, Pixies and english New-Wave Band.
Formed in 1999, the band consits of Betty Muggler, Hans-Christian Fuss (Drummer of "Robocop Kraus" and Andy Necker (Bassist of Multiboy).
The Debut called "Sing guitar sing" was released in 2002, the followup named "I want a girlfriend" was published in 2005. .
Juan Hidalgo (Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, 1927), was the founding member of the ZAJ group, (with Ramón Barce, Walter Marchetti, and later Esther Ferrer and the writer José Luis Castillejo) in 1964 in Madrid. ZAJ was an exponent of Spanish neodadaism with influences of zen and futurism.
Hidalgo is considered as one of the most boundary breaking and creative artists of the Spanish vanguardia. Although he started out as a musical performer, Hidalgo also became active in other artistic fields such as poetry, photography, installation art, postcard art, print media, and performances.

Giovanni Hidalgo (born March 9, 1963, in San Juan, Puerto Rico) - percussionist.
Giovanni received his primary education in San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico. His father and grandfather had been musicians and he was raised in a household surrounded by drums, bongos, congas and timbales. When he was eight he received a conga for his birthday which had been hand made by his father.
