1. OVERLORDE was formed in 1985 by John "Kong" Bunucci (Bass / & Lead Vocals) and Mark "M.E." Edwards (Guitar & Backing Vocals). Dave Wrenn (Drums & Backing Vocals) joined shortly thereafter, and this "power metal" band played its first show at the SHOWPLACE in Dover, NJ that November.
At this time in central New Jersey, the NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) was reaching a peak with bands such as IRON MAIDEN, SAXON , and DEF LEPPARD continuing their invasion from Britain. These and other bands, such as Germany's SCORPIONS, ACCEPT , and America's QUEENSRYCHE heavily influenced OVERLORDE....
Bane Overlord were the square peg in the round hole of the early noughties Manchester music landscape. Influences ranged from metal to disco, from thrash to underground punk and from pop to funk. Either loved or loathed the band became something of a cult to a very small group of people. Connected to the Chips with Everything club night the band scorched their way through a small amount of live appearances with the first gig being in the City's legendary Roadhouse venue with their final show being at The Deaf Institute in Sheffield. The band recorded two, as yet unreleased...
A side project of producer Scott Herren, better known as Prefuse 73, the Piano Overlord project represents two years of his work with a specific sound. Pianos, wurlitzers, rhodes, and other keyboards became the canvas for a more mellow, readily accessible sound than the sample friendly and heavily edited sound of Prefuse 73. The result is a mellow, meditative, beautiful mix of warm keyboard sounds and light percussions.

Dio - distraught overlord were a visual kei/metal band from Japan in 2006. Their sound was heavy and dark, yet melodious at the same time.
They were signed to Red List Entertainment, but DIO announced they were to cease activities on January 24, 2010. However, in their announcement, DIO members mentioned that they could return one day with a new name and style.
