Plastic Tree is an alternative rock band from Chiba, Japan that was formed in December 1993 by 有村 竜太朗 (Arimura Ryutaro) and Hasegawa Tadashi. Since then, the line-up has changed a few times before settling on Ryutaro on vocals, Tadashi on bass, Nakayama Akira on guitar and Satou Kenken on drums. Tadashi is the leader but most decisions are made as a group. Ryutaro and Tadashi wanted to combine two words to form the band name; something artificial and something natural. Tomoyuki Tanaka (田中知之, tanaka tomoyuki) is a J-pop artist/DJ, better known by his stage name of Fantastic Plastic Machine. He is considered to be part of the Shibuya-kei movement, drawing heavily from bossa nova, lounge music, house music, and '60s movie soundtracks, but he also incorporates many other types of music. Army of Anyone was a post-grunge hard rock supergroup formed in 2005 by Filter frontman Richard Patrick with two of the former members of rock band Stone Temple Pilots.
