Often compared to Nick Cave, Nico and the Velvet Underground, and Johnny Cash, Parasol weaves intricate tales infused with raw, visceral lyrics, dark meaning and simmering atmosphere. The end result is a highly stylized aesthetic of both sound and imagery. Parasolar is an ambient / visual arts outfit from Puerto Rico. It started as a film-making project in 2002, but soon after founding member Félix Adorno started working on ambient piano soundtracks for his short films. A year later his sister Rebecca Adorno joined in on vocals, while sharing the piano pieces.
