Tuba Skinny of New Orleans, Louisiana has played traditional Dixieland Jazz and Old Blues songs under the name Tuba Skinny since 2009. They're cousins of Loose Marbles, as is Baby Soda in NYC. These groups have interchangeable players and it is a joy to witness these youngsters spreading the word about the New Orleans music. The band was formed with a twofold view - firstly, to write and perform original music, drawing from its members' considerable experience and wide range of influences and, secondly, to recreate well-known and not-so-well-known tunes ranging from the rock and pop of the sixties right down to the mainstream rock and alternative rock of the present day.
