The UK based band Ostara (formerly Strength Through Joy) consists of vocalist/guitarist Richard Leviathan with a changing supporting cast. The first album 'Secret Homeland' despite some minor industrial characteristics was a rather straight forward neo folk based album that sounded fairly similar to the bands earlier work as STJ, whereas the bands sophomore release 'Kingdom Gone' introduced a more noticeable rock and electronic element into the bands music, but with still a neo folk underscore. Unique medieval sound from modern Poland: Works of Stara Lipa ('Old Linden') are unique combination of sounds from the old days and tradiotional Polish music, but also Scandinavia, Western and Southern Europe. Songs aren't traditional reconstruction but are enriched with imagination and artistic sensitivity of young artists. Stara Rzeka (Old River) is a one-man band of Kuba Ziołek (Alameda Trio, Ed Wood, Innercity Ensemble, Hokei, T'ien Lai, Kapital). Fascinated by union of nature and technology on one hand, on the other - caring for pure, deanthropomorphisized, raw natural reality. There are two bands called Austaras: I. Austaras was formed by J. Becker and S. Hill in autumn 2008 and first performed live in late 2010. As of summer 2011 they have released their debut EP 'Under the Abysmal Light', and have been playing a number of live shows in the Chicago area.
