The Road to Damascus begins in London, when guitarist/ producer Nick "Dubulah" Page (Dub Colossus, Trans Global Underground and Temple of Sound) and Syrian virtuoso Qanun player, Abdullah Chhadeh, begin work on a collaborative project discussed some years earlier. Nick and Abdullah were soon augmented by Irish double bass player, composer and musical director Bernard O'Neill, who had worked with Abdullah prior to Syriana. Nikos Dankha, who is better known from his stage name Prince Of Assyria, was born in Iraq and moved to Sweden with his family in the age of 1. His debut album Missing Notes showed ten atmospheric and vulnerable folk songs that portray his life in Iraq and his growing up as an immigrant in a culture that felt unfamiliar.
