1200 Techniques were an Australian hip hop group from Melbourne, Victoria. They formed in 1997, released two LPs and split up in 2005.
They came to popular attention in 2001 with their track Hard as Hell which received regular airplay on Triple J. Their first album "Choose One" was released in 2002 and was followed by several nationwide tours. This helped to not only increase their profile across the country, but that of the fledgeling Australian hip hop industry itself.
