The Art Museums tell sordid tales of artists, lovers & poseurs with cult new wave jangle. Bay Area psych burnouts, Josh Alper & Glenn Donaldson (Skygreen Leopards) converged in San Francisco in the Summer of ‘09 to record Anglophile jams on a Tascam 388 tape machine (state of the art home-recording circa ‘85). Rough Frame is their debut LP for the Woodsist label. They would make a hi-fi studio record if they had the money, but reviewers would probably still say it was lo-fi. Museums is a 6 piece indie rock band straight out of Rochester, NY. They formed in august of 2007. As a band they consisted of Travis Rankin (Vocals), Ben D'Angelo (Lead Guitar), Vincent Roselli (Bass), Tony Grasta (Drums), Thom Bullman (Keys/Synth) and Joey Arena (Rythm Guitar). Soon after Joey mutually left to persue other interest (see Boy And His Machine/ Young Bloods) . Joey was replaced by Christian Mear. In the Spring of '08 they released their first E.P. entitled "Can We Meet in the Middle" recorded by Rob Freeman (armor for sleep, hit the lights, cobra starship) @ Pilot...
