Devanic is a band from Vienna, Austria and was formed in May 2004 by Nikolaus Vuckovic and Andreas Danzer, with the goal playing ambitious, catchy, multifarious and blasting Melodic Death Metal. Niki was searching for some people to realise his compositions, especially for someone to do the vocals – with Andy the right man was found. Vancouver-based producer Vanic (aka Jesse Hughes) first caught listeners' attention with a string of well-received remixes -- including his reworking of machineheart's "Circles" -- before releasing his own trap- and house-influenced tracks. Hughes began playing piano when he was three but grew bored with the confines of his classical training, and soon dabbled in jazz and ragtime piano while listening to metal and happy hardcore.
