The Western Front is an indie-rock band in Austin, TX by way of Iowa City, IA. Their upcoming release, "Between the Moon", will be released in early-2017. There was also a cowpunk band called The Western Front. They released 2 singles during the 80s. The most prominent thing about this band is their singer, Fred Cole, who was a member of the Weeds, the Lollipop Shoppe, Zipper, the Rats and Dead Moon. He is currently a member of the band the Pierced Arrows together with his wife Toody. .

The Daughters of Eve formed in Chicago in 1965, assembled and managed by Carl Bonafede who was also managing The Buckinghams. Judy Johnson (lead guitar, vocals), Marsha Tomal (organ, guitar, vocals), Andy Levin (bass) and a girl named Connie (drums) who was quickly replayed by Debi Pomeroy. Their first single was "Hey Lover" b/w "Stand By Me" in 1996 on U.S.A. Records. Daughters of Elvin were formed in 1996 with the aim of presenting early music in a new and exciting way and of reaching as diverse an audience as possible. Evoking the spirit of Medieval Europe with music, masks, dance and giant stilt puppets, they give powerful displays of color, movement and sound. Based around carefully researched music, they bring to life images inspired by medieval paintings, carvings and literature and are equally at home at festivals, churches, art centers, street and outdoor events. .
