Kenji Bunch (born July 27, 1973) is an American violist and composer. Bunch performed in the Portland Youth Philharmonic for five years (1986–1991). He graduated from Wilson High School (Portland, Oregon) in 1991 then attended The Juilliard School, where he earned degrees in viola performance and composition. In March 2010 Bunch returned to Portland, Oregon to perform Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5, which he has said inspired him to become a composer, with the Portland Youth Philharmonic. Bunch's composition String Circle No. 1 is featured on the 2012 album Heavy from string quartet ETHEL. .
