She once termed her music "cha'abi moderne" (modern popular music). Her music has been influenced by many styles including Arabic, French, Indian, jazz, drum 'n' bass, and reggae. Atlas Sound is the name of a musical solo project of Bradford Cox, the lead singer of Deerhunter. Cox was born in Athens, Georgia in 1982.
