This is a band that has set out to continue the legacy of the big names of rock'n'roll - Johnny Cash, the Cramps, Elvis, Bo Diddley, Hasil Adkins - setting to music stories of damned souls. Though not known for being an exciting country, they are indeed from Belgium, and they do indeed manage to whip up an atmosphere of wild debauchery at all their gigs. Their performances are hot and spicy, frequently involving nudity, alongside their stomping bluesy rock'n'roll tunes. You'll drink up their sound and the atmosphere to the last drop. This French duo consists of Jazzamar (real name Amar Kabouche) and DJ Link (Luc Tharin). They met in 1990s and created an interesting mix of samba, hip-hop, ragga, breakbeat, jungle, house and techno. .
There is more than one artist named Tropics: 1. The man behind 'Tropics' is Chris Ward. He’s a 22 year old Brit taking influences from 70's jams, post-punk and whatever else he taped in his youth, bringing us the radiant sounds of dreamy, summer nostalgia. Originally a computer music outfit, Sigmatropic is now a full membered indie electronica band with three LP's, one EP and one cd-single released. Sigmatropic was formed in Athens, Greece by Akis Boyatzis in 1997; the band has been well-known around the world with the international release of their latest LP "Sixteen Haiku and Other Stories" (Hitch Hyke/Tongue Master/Thirsty Ear) in all Europe, North America and Oceania. The songs are based on the poetry of Yorgos Seferis.
