The Fashionistas are a band in Brooklyn, NY who formed in Rochester, NY around 2004, in the basement of the legendary Kingsboro house - a part-time party venue that hosted bands like Que Pasa, Gak Attack!, Monkey Space Station, and Caboose At Last. The band started when drummer, Matt Nicole, began playing music with bassist, Peter Mulroy, when both of Nicole's legs were broken and in full casts. Located in the Doncaster/Retford area, The Fashions were a young, catchy aspiring indie band, with a similar style to The Rakes, Embrace, Ocean Colour Scene, Maximo Park and The Futureheads.
