Yamamoto, Tsuyoshi, keyboards, b. Niigata, Japan, 23 March 1948. Started piano in elementary school, but after hearing the Jazz Messengers in high school he began studying jazz. In college he made his pro debut with the Samurai, and toured Europe. He became the house pianist at Misty in 1974, the same year his debut recording Midnight Sugar came out on Three Blind Mice. He performed at Montreux in 1979 and performed at festivals and on TV. He performs primarily in trio formats. .
