Fischerspooner is an electroclash duo and performance troupe formed in 1998 in New York City. The name comes directly from the last names of the band members; Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner. Spiking extremely retro electropop tendencies (recalling Kraftwerk, early Depeche Mode, and Gary Numan) with a modern approach to programming, Fischerspooner produces a quirky, robotic, and strangely subdued kind of dance music. Danny Spooner is a traditional folk singer and social historian. Born in England, he left school at the age of 13 and worked as a salvage tug and trawler skipper before moving to Australia in 1962. He rapidly became involved in the Melbourne folk revival centred on Frank Traynor's folk club, and has been a major figure in the Australian folk scene ever since. .

Casey Spooner (born February 2, 1970) is an American artist and musician. He was born in Athens, Georgia and resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. While attending the Art Institute of Chicago he met Warren Fischer. The two went on to cofound Fischerspooner in New York in 1998. In January 2010, Spooner distributed online his first solo work, the song Faye Dunaway, as a preview of a 2010 solo album "Adult Contemporary".
