Anhalt EBM describes a late 2000s trend in electronic body music (EBM), where bands influenced by old school EBM pioneers Nitzer Ebb and DAF, present a minimalistic, energy-filled, and sometimes punk influenced electronic music style The subgenre's name stems from an area in Eastern Germany Saxony-Anhalt, due to strong community there. including both bands and fans. Up until 2010 the genre has been mostly dominated by German and Swedish bands, but during the last years bands from many other countries have emerged, spreading the genre across the world.

Anhalt EBM can be described as minimalist electronic music with an energy filled and tough masculine attitude. However, various variations of the genre have emerged, i.e. some Swedish bands have gone an entirely punk influenced style of EBM (Container 90, T.W.A.T.[(artist], Stockholm Wrecking Crew). Otherwise, variations of straight forward, usually closer to the style of That Total Age album by Nitzer Ebb, minimalist bands with militarist (but non-politic) attitude are common (Spetsnaz, Ionic Vision, Orange Sector, and many others). Some bands have added more playful and catchy elements, drawing on some NDW influence as well (Sturm Café, Bodystyler). .
