With radio friendly AOR super-groups such as Bad English and Damn Yankees receiving commercial success, former Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham decided to form a similar type band and hope for stardom. Gorham recruited fellow Americans Tommy La Verdi (vocals), Leif Johansen (bass), and Michael Sturgis (drums). Stick to Your Guns is a 5 piece hardcore band from Orange County, California. Very heavily influenced by the orange county hardcore scene, their music, message, style, and sound can perhaps be compared to bands like Bleeding Through and Throwdown. L.A. Guns is the name of a glam metal group from Los Angeles, California. The current version is led by vocalist Phil Lewis with drummer Steve Riley. From 2006 to 2012, (four years after his departure from the band) Tracii Guns reformed his own version of the band, and during that time, there were two distinct lineups of L.A. Guns performing. The Pretty Blue Guns are a South African garage/indie/blues band. They have 3 official releases: Dirt EP (2008), Cutting Heads (2009) and Shed Your Skin (2011) The title track of their most recent album "Shed Your Skin" reached number 1 on 5fm's local rock chart, as well as number 1 on MK (South African music TV)'s alternative music top ten.
