Jinbaobab’s music career started as a member of a three person punk rock group. He switched to electronic music in 2007 after convincing his mother to buy him some introductory software and equipment. He lives in a compound with the families of Changsha police officers. The name “Dormancy Oatmeal” comes from a time in Jinbaobab’s life where he didn’t leave the house much and ate oatmeal everyday. There are at least two bands known as Tumbao: 1. A polish reggae group, it has been founded in Wroclaw, in 2000 year. Theirs first official album was Rise My Soul in 2002 year. 2. A Cuban, Jesus Hernandez, who started composing in the 1970's and together with Delia Gonzales toured The Netherlands extensively in the 90's, before a hiatus which lasted some years. .
