El Canto del Loco ("The Song of the Madman" in English, sometimes abbreviated to ECDL) was a Spanish pop rock band, although its members recognize that some of their songs are more in the style of power pop. The name of the band comes from the song El Canto del Gallo by Radio Futura. Hailing from the Zürich area in Switzerland, Tribal write rock songs and ballads full of emotions, ranging from politics involvement to gloomy memories. They write and sing their lyrics in English and self-produce their records. Founded in August 2003 by Mark Rossi (guitars), Greg Bailey (vocals) and Üse Müller (bass guitar), Tribal later added drummer Andy Gantenbain (drums) to complete their line-up. Jean-Yves Prieur, aka Kid Loco is a French electronic musician, DJ, remixer and producer. He was born on June 16, 1964 in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine, France. He began playing the guitar at the age of 13 and played in several French punk groups during the early '80s. He moved on to production as well by the end of the decade, and moved on to reggae and hip-hop with a band named Mega Reefer Scratch. Locomia was a Spanish (Ibiza) pop group popular in the 1980s and 1990s. They combined elements of tropical with British music of the New Wave and New Romantics. Their first hit was the epynonomous "Locomia." The original members were Javier Font, Manuel Arjona, Gard Paschieer, and Luis Font.
