2. The Freshmen was a punk-influenced rock/show-tunes band from Northern Ireland. They started out in 1962 and went on with massive local success for decades afterward. They are perhaps best known today for the hit single "You've Never Heard Anything Like This" (b-side: "Bombing Run"), which reached #15 for three weeks in 1979.
