A couple on and off stage, Julie Cambier and Jean-François Brohée formed Tangtype in the early 2000s. Brohée studied electroacoustic music at the Royal Conservatoire of Mons in Belgium, and the duo were highly ranked in the Belgian Concours Circuit music awards.
