Sofia, Bulgaria (1934 - 1996) Ivan Spassov was a Bulgarian composer, conductor, musical professor and lecturer. He was one of the leading figures of the vanguard tendencies of modern Bulgarian classical music. He composed operas, symphonies, concertos, numerous cantatas, orchestral, instrumental, and vocal music; choral and solo songs, music scores for more than 50 theatre performances and 3 films.
