Konono Nº1 is a musical group from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly known as Zaire). They combine three electric likembé (a traditional lamellaphone similar to the mbira) with voices, dancers, and percussion instruments that are made out of items salvaged from a junkyard. The group's amplification equipment is equally rudimentary, including a microphone carved out of wood fitted with a magnet from an automobile alternator.

Polish reggae/ska band formed in 1996 by Roman „Leon” Lewandowski (bass guitar), Krzysztof „Para” Parka (guitar) and Marcin „Cozer” Markiewicz (vocal, trumpet). Adam „Zaba” Marszalek (solo guitar) and Robert Aibin (drums) joined to the band later. In 1997 Roman Lewandowski was ill and died. The band stopped playing. They reactivated in 1999 with new musicians - Bartek Bednarczyk (bass guitar), Pawel „Indian” Stepniak (kornet), Lech Pawlusinski (drums) and Bartosz Machon (keyboard). In 2004 they recorded first singel - „Quantalaya”. In 2006 they recorded first longplay called "One Way".

Viscount Hidemaro Konoye (近衛 秀麿, Konoe Hidemaro, 18 November 1898—2 June 1973) was a conductor and composer of classical music in Shōwa period Japan. He was the brother of pre-war Japanese Prime Minister Fumimaro Konoe.
Konoye was born in Kōjimachi, Tokyo as the younger son of Prince Konoe Atsumaro, scion of one of the Five regent houses of the Fujiwara clan. The Konoe clan traditionally provided gagaku muscians to the Imperial Household, and Hidemaro chose to follow the family’s musical tradition, whereas his older brother Fumimaro went into politics.
