1349 Rykkinn is a project of Bård Torgersen, the man behind Lord Bård. He helped pave the way for electronic music in Norway almost 20 years ago, playing in a large amount of bands like Nemlig Hemlig, Masters of Møh and SUPERskill.
He left that scene in 1996 due to a heavy depression, and went on a journey around the world. Carrying along a video camera and a minidisc, he recorded alot of images and sounds and this eventually resulted in "Brown Ring Of Fury".
According to Torgensen, the album is based on the feelings he had growing up in the suburban Rykkinn in the 80's: "neo-nazis, kids shooting up dope, parents drinking the winter away, fields of flowers in crazy colors, kissing in stairways, mad love."
