The original post-funk three-step loungers, Bussetti were formed in 2001 after a drunken late-night rant in a Brixton livingroom. From 2001-2007 they made feet bounce and bodies move all over the UK, from Bath to Manchester, as well as wowing crowds at the 2003 Big Chill Festival, the 2004 Dour Festival in Belgium and the 2004 London Jazz Festival.

Having produced their debut album 'Where have you been' in 2007, the band of seven, which often grew to up to 9 for live performances finally called it a day, though their music lives on. The album includes crowd pleasing anthems like 'Debussetti' ("Superb...Like nothing I've ever heard." - Nick Luscombe), haunting tracks like 'The Itch' and summery beats, 'Softly' ("Eclectic beats busting with ideas from the seven-piece collective"- MusicWeek). The band also attracted eclectic remixes from the likes of Four Tet, Xploding Plastix and King Seven.

"Magical - conjuring broken beats and strange time-signatures that would tie most musicians in knots... [they] invoke an amusing image of a wrestling match between Louise Rhodes of Lamb and Mike Skinner of The Streets." - Metro, Manchester

"The swing of big band jazz and the sleaziness of late-night knocking shop" - IDJ Mag

"Often compared to Red Snapper, The Cinematic Orchestra and Lamb, Bussetti are a jazz-influenced juganaught of emotion" - Twenty4Seven Magazine

"A fantastic, baffling cut-up of classical pomp, squelching synths and manic MCing" - Jockey Slut .
