Cristi Cons has 14 years of cello practice to back up his 4/4 musical constructs. His passion for acoustic timbres led him to try and find connections between the old and dusted beauty of classical instruments and the melodic groove of modern day deep house. Raw warmth is the result, slowly buried under his percussive rhythms. Cristi Cons’s beats have a tendency to sting when you least expect it, setting off party after party into an organic dancing groove. Layered deepness and repetitive maneuvers in the dark warp his music and you’re getting busy dancing to the sound. Although he doesn’t use cello in his own work yet, 14 years studying music theory definitely gave his music an edge. He quotes the guys from the Romanian label RPR as his main influence and he started an arttistic project called SIT together with Vlad Caia.
