The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society (official last.fm name though often shortened H.P.L.H.S.) is a live roleplaying group from the Los Angeles area that also makes film, theatre, radio drama, props and music (comedy and soundtracks) based on and inspired by works of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, the classic author of horror novels from the early 20th century.

Their name is frequently and confusingly used in different forms, but among others they can be found behind aliases and names such as:
