Lee Galloway has had a love for music ever since he demanded piano lessons from his parents at the age of 9. He quickly showed talent, soon performing for talent shows, local programs and social clubs.

He studied music at San Diego State University, graduating with Honors in 1977 with a BA. Multiple majors were Music, Philosophy and Psychology. He studied piano performance with Dr. Arthur Lambert and performed in both solo and chamber music settings. He studied piano pedagogy, piano literature, music history, composition, jazz and also performed with the jazz band.

Although performing and teaching "classical" music privately throughout the 1970's, he continued independent study in contemporary music and jazz, and has become a player and teacher of significance in the fields of popular music, jazz and blues. Having previously performed in recital and chamber setting, his later performances gravitated to popular music and jazz. He is listed in Who's Who in Entertainment.

Mr. Galloway has served as President of the San Diego Branch of the Music Teachers Association of California (M.T.A.C.) and is currently the director of the San Diego Popular Music Festival co-sponsored by M.T.A.C. and Grossmont College. He is also listed in Who's Who Among Young Professionals and Who's Who in the West.

Mr. Galloway has specialized in teaching adult students of all levels a well as popular music of all types. His privately published adult piano method elicits praise as much for its original compositions as for the unique effectiveness of the method itself.

Some of his performances have included: performances at various Music Education Conferences throughout the country, a presentation of Ragtime music to the public to celebrate the millennium, a presentation of the piano music of George Gershwin to a music group, lead piano at the 1988 Superbowl Half-Time show featuring the New York City Rockettes (with a TV audience of 100 million) and performance at the "Insights '96" Symposium featuring Jimmy Carter and Mikhail Gorbachev. He has performed a number of times at the Music Teachers' Association of California annual conference. Based in San Diego, California, he currently specializes in performing for private engagements in the Southern California area.

He also teaches piano privately to dedicated students and frequently lectures on how to teach adult students and popular music.

Other accomplishments include the composition of numerous teaching pieces in various styles. His piano solo arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D hit the "top of the charts" on mp3.com in 1999 and has stayed in the Classical "Top 40" ever since. His CD, "Soothing the Soul" has received such comments as, "incredible…amazing inspired me beyond words…Thanks you for making my day". He is an evaluator for the Certificate of Merit program of M.T.A.C. and evaluates numerous music festivals and competitions throughout the state.

He also coaches individuals and businesses, having been trained by the Coaches Training Institute. He works with individuals and businesses on marketing, business development, goal setting and life balance.
