Ian Grant started in Hip-Hop but took a winding journey through Black music. With his Likwid Biskit project he defined the Broken Beat aesthetic, and then with New Sector Movements he turned commercial r'n'b on its head. Now he's made another left turn with a solo album for Japan's brilliant Freedom School. .
