Luumm is a creative collaboration between two musicians.

The project started at the beginning of 2010, when the former audio-visual band Instrumental lab disbanded leaving a lot of unfinished material and music ideas which later became the starting point of Luumm. Playing as a duo meant a lot of changes – we had to rethink the ways of developing composition and expanding and individualizing our sound.

Luumm is a dialogue with two distinct voices: the voice of the urban and the natural. This project borrows heavily from various musical sources without recognizing any geographical or stylistic boundaries. Compositions of Luumm could be characterized as cinematic soundscapes because they are based more on the ideas of cinematic montage and narrative than on standard music writing.

Luumm has already published some old tracks in an online EP album Variations and right now is working on material which is to be recorded at the end of summer 2011.

Luumm aims to be an open collaboration, meaning that we are simultaneously working on down-tempo/drone tracks and from time to time arranging and playing live soundtracks for silent movies.
