Maggie Mayday is the new pop band from former Suggestions frontman and acclaimed singer-songwriter John Brodeur. They are currently based in Albany, New York.

Bassist Jenn McCarron was an easy find, having played as the other half of the rhythm section with Brodeur in pop-rock group Hector on Stilts for close to a year. Drummer Meghan Tully was spotted jamming with friends and was quickly drafted; turns out she's been playing in bands since her early teens. The result is a trio teeming with raw energy and infectious melody, and they're off to a running start: Since May, the band has shared the stage with such heavyweights as 311, Matisyahu, the Bravery, and TV on the Radio.

Brodeur began writing songs young, taking his first band to the semi-finals of a national music showcase. His 2001 solo debut, "Tiger Pop," received waves of critical and fan praise; a new band, the Suggestions, followed, and released the "Mix Tape" EP in 2003. "Mix Tape" charted well on the CMJ College Music Airplay charts, and fueled a series of tours for the trio that expanded their audience far and wide. Just before their split, the band recorded "Get Through," which will soon be released after being shelved for more than three years.
