NRK (Nobody Really Knows) is a group of musicians from from Powder Springs, GA/Los Angeles, CA. Their sound is self described as falling between experimental, funk, soul, electronic, and hip hop. They released Goodwill (as The Bandits) in 2009 and The NRK Compilation on April 17th, 2010. Both are available for free download.

NRK was started by Pyramid Vritra, KC 2.0, Pyramid Murdock, and Gloomy Pyramid while they were in 8th grade. Members such as Jay Cue, Andre McCloud, Mr. Northstar, Tyler Major, LuiDiamonds, and Pyramid Mables were added later on when they were all in High School. They all went to the same school together and shared interests such as skateboarding and music. They began making music in Pyramid Vritra's basement when he showed them Garageband and FL Studio. They were originally called The Bandits, but then while they were eating at a Little Five Points Pizza, Jay Cue suggested the name NRK and it stuck.

Hal Williams (AKA Pyramid Vritra) became a member of The Jet Age Of Tomorrow/The Super 3 and OFWGKTA around the time NRK reached out to Matt Martians on twitter. They asked him to mix their mixtape "Goodwill".

The group includes Jay Cue, KC 2.0, Tyler Major, Pyramid Vritra, Gloomy Pyramid, Andre McCloud, Pyramid Quince, Foreign Pyramid, Royal Pyramid, Pyramid Murdock, LuiDiamonds, Lynard Slotzenburg, as well as the duos Lombardi & Luwees and HeteroChromia. The group also contains less known members, but many of NRK have stated they will become more prominent, soon enough.


NRK could also be the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, the government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company, and the largest media organisation in Norway.

OR: The trio now known as NRK comprises of Cello Zero, Goos and Raphael Caffarena. NRK sprung from a friendship born amongst the nightlife of São Paulo from the hedonistic goals they all shared - to play in clubs, travel the world and to drink. Soon they began to respond to the vaguely controversial nickname of New Rave Kids On The Block - now shortened to NRK - in October 2007. What they wanted was to make make pop music that you can dance to, have a laugh to (and at) and marry this with their eclectic influences, particularly in electronic music.

Without much fanfare, they suddenly found themselves appearing in most of São Paulo's underground clubs, as well as in other parts of Brazil. Within a few weeks their myspace page had thousands of listens to their home made tracks, leading to several international blogs giving them a mention (includes America's Big Stereo). The Brazilian national press sites the trio (on portal Globo.com) as one of the 'eight bands to watch out for in 2008'. Other mentions have come from sites such as MTV Brazil, Popload's Lucio Ribeiro and Erika Palomino amongst others. This unexpected progress achieved during these initial few months has pushed the band to maybe take things a little more seriously.

In February 2008, NRK was invited to contribute to a compilation being made by London based publication Amelia's Magazine, who were doing a special edition on Brazil. Since then, the boys have been working on finishing their debut EP, RADICAL.

Influenced by everything from punk rock to oldschool hip-hop, the EP "brings the five tracks, all recorded in Cello's room. These include a cover of "Couldn't Get Ahead," by Brit band The Fall, and debut single "Flashlite Monkey."
